Privacy Policy
Introduction
A lot of times "the fine print" seems like a way to obscure details and take away your rights. This page, however, is happily provided to inform you of our practices so you can feel comfortable using our site. The main message of everything below is that we respect your privacy. Your personal information will not be used in any manner that we wouldn't feel comfortable telling you about. Actually, that's the purpose of this page.
I. Collection of Data
We do not collect personally-identifiable information unless our visitors voluntarily submit it. We collect some non–personally-identifiable information such as the type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows XP, Mac OS, or Linux) and browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer) that our visitors use.
We offer a free electronic newsletter to users. Only the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe are gathered, and these addresses are used for no purpose other than the distribution of this periodic newsletter. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the subscription management page.
We may offer surveys to users so they can offer feedback about the site. Opinions or other responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any particular user. Results are only used to improve the content and organization of this site.
Users may choose to electronically forward a link, page, or documents to someone else by clicking “email this to a friend.” The user must provide their email address as well as that of the recipient. This information is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email. The information is not used for any other purpose.
II. (Non) Sharing of Data
Your data will not be made available to third parties unless (i) your consent is obtained; (ii) it is required by law; (iii) it is deemed necessary by the editor to protect the editor's legal rights and/or property; or (iv) this site is purchased by a third party, in which case that third party will be able to use the data in the same manner as set forth in this Policy. We never sell or rent our visitors' personal information.
III. Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed in visitors’ Web browsers. The files allow us to see how many visitors we have and when they access various parts of our site. The cookies placed by advertisements are subject to the privacy policy of the parties providing the advertisement.
IV. Minors
In compliance with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request or accept personally-identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without receiving parental consent. Children under the age of 13 should not opt in for our newsletter without parental consent.
V. Third Party Links
This site contains links to other sites; memorizeeverything.com is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.
VI. Contact Information
